Honeyvibe – TheSummerSong Visual
Having built a following since they dropped a breathtakingly beautiful introductory song called Work This Thing Out, Louisiana band Honeyvibe has finally unveiled their official first single. TheSummerSong has an organic rock feel, layered with lots of happiness-inducing instrumentation to light up this summer season. It’s the perfect song to cruise out and hit the beach to, as demonstrated by the visuals through their VEVO release. The video features an animated version of band members JST David, Ric Jones, and Bruce G. Reid Jr., cruising around as colorful mirages embodying fun summertime energy flash above them. Knowledge To Wisdom Mix (+Download)
This mix happened while I was making a playlist inspired by the recently deceased Maurice White, of Earth Wind And Fire. I will forever remember the wonderful vibrations felt when I listen to that band. It’s so uplifting and timeless. Naturally, the playlist lead me into a new mix that is different than the usual r&b influencees I feature here, on the Frolic. Old school soul and funky rhythm and blues is one of the styles I heard around me, growing up, and I fall more in love with it all as I age. Greighwolfe – Black EP
The first song that I heard from the latest and what I mustered up as the very first EP from Greighwolfe had me HOT! No, I don’t mean that I was angry. I mean that in the same way that most of the music from Sade or The Weeknd makes me feel. That song was Hurt Me and it lead me to the rest of this brilliant project called the Black EP.
