The New Paint EP was seeded a couple of years ago, when Clayt worked on staff in Timbaland’s home studio, in Virginia. It was the critique from an engineer who was impressed by his lyricism, but felt he needed a sound of his own before being presented to Timbaland, which served as motivation for Clayt to develop his unique approach to music.
