Liberating The Captive Consciousness is a meaningful selection I compiled overtime, and it seemed more relevant each day, with all that continues to occur on a regular basis. Amongst these songs are some of my favorites, which I came upon during the most difficult period in my youth. That was when I became fully conscious of the world we exist in. Knowledge To Wisdom Mix (+Download)
This mix happened while I was making a playlist inspired by the recently deceased Maurice White, of Earth Wind And Fire. I will forever remember the wonderful vibrations felt when I listen to that band. It’s so uplifting and timeless. Naturally, the playlist lead me into a new mix that is different than the usual r&b influencees I feature here, on the Frolic. Old school soul and funky rhythm and blues is one of the styles I heard around me, growing up, and I fall more in love with it all as I age.
