My cameras and I are back! During the Covid era, my relationship with my camera went from me continuing to pursue a career to barely doing any photoshoots at all…for both obvious and less obvious reasons. After I signed on to do another year of work for the county, which I really enjoyed shooting and getting paid for, Covid happened and I felt quite discouraged about being a photographer. Let’s be more Sporadic! + Subway Dancers in L.A.
I recently lived a day of random fun with friends I have not seen together since the year started. One of them mentioned, several times, how it seemed that he had not been out in the world for weeks, or more. He works the nightshift. It was funny, because it was like he was experiencing a re-awakening. I also found it amusing how he chose to express this realization as we were walking along the most busiest street in the area, but this is also someone who is always humorous and imaginative. Project Feed: L.A. needs Vendors! (updated June 19th)
I’ll soon update this post with more details, but a friend of mine along with over forty other people (including myself and we’re growing!) will partake in a 2-Day fundraising event to feed the homeless residents of Los Angeles. This will be Project Feed’s very first festival here in Los Angeles and the people need all of the help we can get. We want artists and business owners of all sorts to partake in this event.
