Ankhten Brown & Eyedress – 420/20 Vision EP
Listening to Eyedress of Babe Slayer led me to many other dope musicians he supports, such as Ankhten Brown. The two released a collaborative EP called 420/20 Vision on the universally acknowledged holiday for lovers of our little green herbal friend. As usual, Eyedress’ production is beyond being on point, while he adds a few verses to the project as well. Ankhten Brown’s stunning lyricism is the other main focus as he goes on non-stop through-out many of the tracks. My current favorites are Emperor Steeze, Mowgli Jesus, Black Sheep Boyz, and Booty Vision. Listen for yourself below! eyedress.bandcamp.com facebook.com/AK47SHIP facebook.com/babeslayer777

Loe – Blue Moon
Loe is back with a new complete project called Blue Moon, in collaboration with Nedarb Nagrom. This is the first one I have heard from her since her debut helloe. While she has been unveiling recent songs on her soundcloud, I am ecstatic to hear something complete from this intriguing vocalist, once again. She has her own way of beautifully singing somber songs with a smooth approach that does not leave me feeling sad, but entranced in her words. This one also features other artists like Little Pain, J Trauma, Tama Guicci, and others you may or may not have heard. Some of my favorites from this project are Fria,…

TiDUS – Soon You’ll Understand EP (+Download)
It has been a couple of years since Tidus dropped his last project, New Age, which included note-worthy songs like Delancey, Without a Care, and Apocalypse. He released this prodigious follow up titled Soon You’ll Understand. The EP comes to us via his unique label For The Future, and marks what I feel is the beginning of a authentic movement within music. It would be hard to listen and not be inspired by the originality of this sound. Tidus lyrically looms from his peers, not only through his these dreamy beats produced by Villabeatz and Ed Weathers of Fast Life Society, but also his spiritual perspective. The way he uses…

Love Maker Mix
I made the Love Maker mix to highlight love and connection during these tense times, and to also channel some heavily sensual vibes. Enjoy with yourself, a lover, or a potential, maybe even send it to your crush, if you are bold. Anything will feel possible by the end of this one. Let me know what you think and share the LOVE with your people! More MIXES tracklist 1. Fayth Hope – Jasmine Breeze Flower Ecstasy (Dose Mix) 2. RADICAL THE KID – Funk With Me Feat. Ephrem & aywy 3. Eyedress – Shapeshifter LP
After sharing and removing several new songs from soundcloud through-out the year, Eyedress dropped one of my personal favorite albums to be released, Shapeshifter. This album strings together some prodigious features like Edgar The Breathtaker a.k.a. King Krule, Pyramid Vritra, Jasmine, Ankhten Brown, and more who associate with Babe Slayer. I feel Eyedress continues to make whatever he wants, without much concern for the genre and how people are going to take it. Throughout Shapeshifter, he pulls us through a few different soundscapes, making him one of few who do not catering to only one per album. My favorite songs to bump loud are Return Of The Wicca Man, Witch…

Saint Tiimbre – Body Moves EP & Visual
As soon as I hit play to take in the sounds of Saint Tiimbre’s latest project Body Moves, the lights dim as some atmospheric dance scene grips my imaginative brain, every single time. The emerging San Franscisco group consists of vocalist/producer Natasha Adore and producers Amp Live and Julia Lewis. This is another collaboration made in heaven, as every other song takes me to similar places. It is a soulfully melodic dance record released through Little Friend Records. Each track has a retro vibe. Keep up with this group through the links and also check out the official visual for the lead song, Body Moves, below. Y Z – (Thus Prototype 3)
Y Z is an up and coming producer, vocalist, song-writer, artist, and poet from Toronto. The nineteen year old chooses to remain a mystery to most of us, but after listening to her beats, it is evident that she has little to be shy about and much to express. Her single Thus (Prototype 3) is the latest version in a series of songs with the same title, which means “this is us.” Through dark, trip-hop influenced sounds it honors human connection, passion, and love with etheric sexuality. I am into this style of music and look forward to hearing the creative evolution of the self-taught artist. Follow more of her…

Dark Corners Where We Find Particles Of Light Mix (+Download)
I created this mix in the span a couple of days, adding in many of the songs at the very end. I really enjoy the way it came together and hope you enjoy it as much, as well as support the amazing artists I have featured. We live in a world polarized by darkness and light. The theme of this mix is formed through the many topics and scenarios expressed through each song. I believe that our darkest experiences and struggles can either break us down completely, or lead to pure liberation and lightness. I hope that anyone going through a challenging time in life can find something pure to…

Mouse Sucks – Me Af/Bae Af
Mouse Sucks is a twenty-one year old rapper and producer from Toronto, Canada. He is currently based in New York and is preparing an album as a follow-up to 2013’s Lacey’s Forehead. One thing you’ll notice about this artist, immediately, is the element of humor which comes across through his aesthetics. They match the subtle humor applied to his flow. The two-part song Me Af/Bae Af is said to be directly inspired by the DJ Kitty Kash. It is the introduction to his new, self-crafted sound we’ll be hearing more of in 2016. I’m ready for it! When you purchase this single via Bandcamp, there is a bonus song included…

Dumplings én China – Your Motha EP (+Dowload)
Dumplings én China is so insanely good and dissimilar to anything else out, or not out. He once expressed that his usual points of creative reference stem from visiting art galleries, and if you pay attention to his growing body of work, that makes perfect sense. Dumplings has been a cosmic favorite since the beginning. I continue to anticipate the moment he will suddenly be that artist we hear about everywhere, blogged about constantly and live-performing my favorite jams. For now, we have this golden pot of a soundcloud to grab tracks from. I have also linked the download of the EP below. Enjoy!
