Dumplings én China – Your Motha EP (+Dowload)
Dumplings én China is so insanely good and dissimilar to anything else out, or not out. He once expressed that his usual points of creative reference stem from visiting art galleries, and if you pay attention to his growing body of work, that makes perfect sense. Dumplings has been a cosmic favorite since the beginning. I continue to anticipate the moment he will suddenly be that artist we hear about everywhere, blogged about constantly and live-performing my favorite jams. For now, we have this golden pot of a soundcloud to grab tracks from. I have also linked the download of the EP below. Enjoy! Dumplings én China – Wishbone Visual
Dumplings En China is one of my favorite new and true artists to have come into in 2014. Throughout the year, he has made two outstanding EPs available, along with some uplifting jams which I continue to play to brighten my days. When you listen to them all back to back, it is not difficult to imagine why he has already been courted by Indie record labels both inside and outside of the U.S. His rare and bold approach to each of his songs is what gets me stirring whenever I find myself pressing play on something new from him. I don’t quite know what to expect each time, and…

Dumplings én China – Spray Paint My Huffy
Dumplings én China just released a sweet new song titled Spray Paint My Huffy. He describes it as “super vibey and bubble tea-ish” and I agree! The beat is interesting and as colorful as the song’s artwork. If you love music like I do, you won’t be able to resist feeling it, right away! This song, like another one he recently made available, Sorbet, reminds me of bright weather and smiles exchanged on a beautiful day. Songs like this can keep you warm all throughout winter. His words invoke that old summer nostalgia, with references to some of my favorite cartoons growing up. I like that the music he’s been…

Dumplings én China – Subtleties EP
Good music has the ability to guide us into self healing and connects us, in addition to moving us and serving as a soundtrack to our existence. However I come across gems like what I’m presenting today, I always feel a sense of gratefulness to be able to take in something generated entirely from the perspective of another creative. I could not stop moving when I first heard this fresh EP by upcoming New York based artist, Dumplings én China. The production features some clean, classically jazzed hip hop beats and bass which cradles an interesting flow. It is impossible to not bob my head from beginning to end! After…
