    MoRuf – Loosies EP

I suspected that MoRuf was cooking up something amazing when I first heard his freestyle over one of my favorite, classic Erykah Badu jams, I Want You. He has been a stand out lyricist since they dropped the endlessly vibey collaboration with Iman Omari back in 2012, Euphoria. Recently, the Jersey native released a new project for the summer called Loosies, which includes the Badu melody and other new favorites of mine. At the moment, my most played are the aforementioned, Sweetvibes2, and Golden Lakes. Head over to his official website to subscribe and download the project for free, or enjoy the stream here and follow the links for more…

    Dan∆logOne – Neoteric2

Dan∆logOne is a fantastic Virginia-based producer/creative, who just unveiled a new electronic project this past week, Neoteric2. This has easily become a new summer’s go-to. The EP is formed of instrumentals that range from trappy and higher tempos, to slow and chill vibes. I enjoy each one, especially the remix to The Weeknd’s Earn It, as well as the opening track Moongroovin (Neoteric 2). You’ll find that he has an impressive archive of more music, which you can find through the first of the links I’ve provided below. Hadassah – Oakmere Drive EP

Get lost in this ultra-entrancing EP by Hadassah. Her sultry jazz-trained vocals blend beautifully with the atmospheric beats featured throughout Oakmere Drive. She touches on many themes, including one which always hits home here, self-love and acceptance. She mentions that this project arrived after a difficult personal period she experienced last year, with finishing school and losing a family member. Knowing this makes the healing vibration of the tracks even more apparent. I especially enjoyed her version of Atmosphere’s classic God’s Bathroom Floor, Real Feat. Maassai & Akai $olo, Ocean Floor, and Visions. Have a listen for yourself below and enjoy! Support this rare gem of an artist through the…

    Xavier Isme – Next

Did you hear about it? A previously featured artist by the name of Xavier Isme has returned, with the creative new track Next. The song has been unveiled as the first of new collaborations between Xavier Isme and the producer The Produce Isle. While music like his reflective song Monotone caught my ear, these lyrics showcase confidence and growth, delivering a fetching hook and verses you would think were composed by any of our favorite veteran MCs. This fresh approach inspired and rekindled my appreciation for the younger artists who are intent to make their own space in the evolving Hip Hop realm. It is apparent to myself that Xavier…

    Close Mix (+Download)

Here is something new for the men to play…for the ladies and all lovers. I enjoyed selecting this playlist, which began as a follow-up to Love Maker, but took off to be its own synchronistic vibe. As you might have noticed by now, I am a great fan of slowed down music, especially when it’s stuff from the 90’s. I was sure to include some of my favorite throw-back r&b jams, touched up and remixed, as well as brand new gems which you will definitely thank me for later. All of these dope artists can be found throughout the web, including Soundcloud and Bandcamp. Support them and download this playlist…

    Like – Emeralds

It has been a while since I have been in lost in a new and true beat tape, but Like’s latest yanked me right into its realm and I love it. The beat-maker, who is also known as a member of the super group Pac Div, recently released a solo collection of instrumentals. There are a juicy amount of songs here that I enjoy vibing to, my current favorites being Emeralds, Jazz Cats, Yola Yola, Strange Love, Inspire, and Yes Mccann. Snoh Aalegra – Don’t Explain (A Mini Album)

Snoh Aalegra’s soulful release Don’t Explain – A Mini Album left me feeling some type of way, that I love! I am certain that at times throughout her career, she will remind everyone of Amy Winehouse as she belts on tracks like Under The Influence, part 1 and 2. I love the vintage story-book style of this emotionally-soothing project. It really suits her traditional jazzy voice, perfectly. My current favorites are In Your River, Chaos, and Charleville 9200, which features dreamy harmonies by James Fauntleroy. Enjoy it for yourself, below.
