    LOW-KEY R&B GEMS (2000-2010 Edition) Playlist

LOW-KEY R&B GEMS Playlist was actually supposed to be a megamix that I was going drop last year, but technical issues derailed my plans for that. There are two decades worth of R&B/Urban Pop music that I always felt to be heavily slept on by the masses, regardless of a few of these artists actually being popular at the time. Other artists that I feature on the playlist are not heard from at all today, while some never were. That is the basis of this curation. Close Mix (+Download)

Here is something new for the men to play…for the ladies and all lovers. I enjoyed selecting this playlist, which began as a follow-up to Love Maker, but took off to be its own synchronistic vibe. As you might have noticed by now, I am a great fan of slowed down music, especially when it’s stuff from the 90’s. I was sure to include some of my favorite throw-back r&b jams, touched up and remixed, as well as brand new gems which you will definitely thank me for later. All of these dope artists can be found throughout the web, including Soundcloud and Bandcamp. Support them and download this playlist…

I really enjoy the way it came together and hope you enjoy it as much, as well as support the amazing artists I have featured. We live in a world polarized by darkness and light. The theme of this mix is formed through the many topics and scenarios expressed through each song. I believe that our darkest experiences and struggles can either break us down completely, or lead to pure liberation and lightness. I hope that anyone going through a challenging time in life can find something pure to…

BC Kingdom & Mila J – Press Start

BC Kingdom recently released a surprise collaborative EP with Mila J, called Press Start. Over the weeks, this easily became one of my favorite EPs of the summer. You might know BC Kingdom from their association with Solange’s label, Saint Heron. I came to this project through following Mila J’s music for a while, from her girl groups and solo ventures. I feel their styles mesh perfectly. Hopefully more collaborations are ahead for these three in the future. For the moment, we have this well crafted treasure. I especially like the samples used on Play and that it’s a spin-off of a fifteen-year-old Spice Girls/Darkchild song, “Holler”. I like Ninja…
