Clayt – New Paint EP (+Download)

The New Paint EP was seeded a couple of years ago, when Clayt worked on staff in Timbaland’s home studio, in Virginia. It was the critique from an engineer who was impressed by his lyricism, but felt he needed a sound of his own before being presented to Timbaland, which served as motivation for Clayt to develop his unique approach to music. Working hard on his craft ever since then has allowed him to reemerge with new purpose and a new portrait of his visions. As previously mentioned in this post about the visual for the lead single, Third Eye, that purpose also includes establishing a pure art culture in his home state. This mixtape is on point and an authentic wave that I vibe with easily New Paint is different than any major label release out.
