NEW NOSTALGIA: When It Feels Like 90’s R&B Playlist
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ผ๐๐๐๐ผ: ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ฏ ๐๐ต ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ด ๐๐ช๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐ซ๐ข๐ด ๐&๐ is a playlist I began this week, after noticing elements of sounds that were popularized during the 90s within the latest upcoming r&b music. As the ultimate 90s kid and r&b junkie that I am, I LOVE it when itโs done right. I will be updating this list weekly as I discover more and recall some of my recent favorites. Itโs available on Apple Music and Spotify. Enjoy and share it with your friends. Cover Art byย StellarFaerie music.apple.com/profile/StellarFaerie spotify.com/user/StellarFaerie

TiDUS – Not Sorry (Visual)
A year since teasing a clip on Instagram, Tidus has finally released his song โNot Sorryโ to the world. The song was first featured in the independent film Canal Street, led by great actors like Bryshere Gray (Empire) and Mekhi Phifer. It can now be streamed everywhere, and Tidus has made a visual to complement it. The etheric beauty of “Not Sorry” speaks for itself. I enjoy his enchanting vocals on this one. Being that this is the third of three single releases the musician has released this year, and one of many he has recently previewed online, we can expect more from Tidus throughout the year. His full project…

SINKING IN Playlist
SINKING IN Playlist is all about allowing oneself to relax. During our time quarantining, there have been many threats to our mental, emotional, and physical health. I notice that many people are experiencing anxiety through the roof. There have been several moments when I found myself almost being influenced to fall into a fearful mindstate, but I refuse to be hopeless and to allow circumstances that are out of my power to lower my vibration. Now is the time to raise ourselves into higher states by reconnecting with our true nondistracted selves. Be alone. Go within. That is the basis of this beautiful mix, featuring different types of music that…

LOW-KEY R&B GEMS (2000-2010 Edition) Playlist
LOW-KEY R&B GEMS Playlist was actually supposed to be a megamix that I was going drop last year, but technical issues derailed my plans for that. There are two decades worth of R&B/Urban Pop music that I always felt to be heavily slept on by the masses, regardless of a few of these artists actually being popular at the time. Other artists that I feature on the playlist are not heard from at all today, while some never were. That is the basis of this curation. Since I turned 10, I loved going to the music store or to Target to buy CDs and listen to music from artists that…

TiDUS – Hear Us Clearly (Visual)
Following up on his first single release of 2020, Tidus unveils his song โHear Us Clearlyโ, along with a visual. This has come at a moment when his overall message is needed, perhaps more than ever. The state of the world is in an unsure place, but Tidus consistently speaks on the power of belief in oneself. In this particular song, he states that it is time for those with love and truth in their hearts to lead the way. As beautiful and flowy as the song is, I see it as also being a call to action for the listener. It is time to be in alignment with who…

SOUL TIES Playlist
SOUL TIES playlist was inspired while I was listening to several songs that have a beautifully nostalgic 80s-electronic-r&b vibe to them but were actually released between now and the early 2000s. This is another playlist that I am taking my time with building. There are some songs that aren’t available to stream which I will eventually add to a mix version of this playlist later this year. I hope everyone that comes across it enjoys and that it takes them to a dreamy place like it does for me. Yes, that is Prince and his soulmate Denise “Vanity” Matthews on the cover. R.I.P. to them both. Follow me on Apple…

HEAVY Playlist
HEAVY playlist is curated from some emotional tracks that I love, from all over the music spectrum, but definitely including soulful aspects. This curation is still in its early stages. I want to build this one up slowly, as I am inspired and reminded of the best rare heartbreak to healing songs. “Feel free to feel. Feel free to heal.” -@StellarFaerie Follow me on Apple Music to keep up with my latest playlists, which are updated weekly. I will be following back anyone who also curates their own. You can also keep up via Spotify. Be sure to @ me on my socials to let me know what you think!…

TiDUS – The Watcher (Visual)
Tidus released his first new song of the year, with a visual to match. In the video for โThe Watcherโ, he is seen on a California beach with beautiful shots of the sun shining on him. This is another beautiful song from the artist, which uplifts the listener and inspires them to hold faith through the motions of life. Whenever I listen, I feel a flood of light in my being which prompts me to stand up and move. One of my favorite lyrics chants “I don’t compare my life others that’s just nonsense / We all going through a struggle not a Contest/ If it ainโt happen for you…

MMXX ERA R&B (Playlist)
MMXX ERA R&B is the first playlist I have created for this year, inspired by the new era of r&b resurgence that is taking place. Any of these artists deserve to be mentioned when it comes to modern “R&B” debates, which seems to be coming up often lately in the media. Do not sleep on these gems! If I could afford it, I would already be your favorite smooth DJ, with all the best selections you might not have heard before. Luckily, I am at least able to create my beloved themed mixes, and I am now curating playlists on Apple Music. Follow me there to keep up with my…

Love Echoes To The Cosmos Mix (+Download)
As a true r&b/soul music junkie, it is not easy to find NEW songs about genuine romantic love between two people. These days, we are stuck with basic club and sex anthems, with the occasional heartbroken melody breaking through the airwaves. The other day, I was randomly inspired while designing collage concepts based on the beautiful aesthetics of the film Black Orpheus, to curate a list filled with current artists who speak on love and deeper experiences. I have done love-based mixes with heavier themes of lust, like Tease, Close, and Love Maker. This one is a bit different and has a classic soul – funk – jazz feel. The…
